History 

In 1974 Richard Lister and Trevor Wimpenny formed a partnership naming their company Ardor Engineering, Ardor derived from the last three letters of Richard and the last two letters of Trevor.

Ardor Engineering traded as precision sub-contract machinists. They quickly established a reputation for fine craftsmanship and reliability, producing precision-machined components for several local companies.

In 1991 Ardor Engineering became a limited company and traded under the same management until 1998, when the sudden death of Richard Lister became a major factor in restructuring the company.

New Share Issue

In June 2000 Trevor Wimpenny sold forty eight percent of his share holding in Ardor Engineering Ltd with an agreement to sell the remaining fifty two percent on his retirement on the 30th November 2004 .

The management buyout transaction was agreed and concluded on the 30th November 2004, leaving Michael Kilbride with one hundred percent share holding.
